The requirements and procedures for admission to the one-cycle educational program in Dentistry are available to all interested parties in accordance with the University regulations governing the educational process, the information published on the University website, and the applicable legislation of Georgia.
Enrollment Conditions
Enrollment in the one-cycle educational program in Dentistry is permitted for individuals who possess a certificate of full general education issued in Georgia, or an equivalent document, and meet the admission requirements established by the legislation of Georgia.
Foreign citizens and stateless persons may be admitted to the program in accordance with the procedures and conditions established by Georgian legislation.
Enrollment in the Dentistry program through mobility is also possible in accordance with the applicable legislation of Georgia and the University regulations.
Field Description
Dentistry is a healthcare field focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and conditions affecting the oral cavity, teeth, jaws, and related structures. It integrates biomedical sciences with theoretical, preclinical, and clinical dental education to develop the knowledge and practical competencies required for safe and effective patient care.
The field encompasses major areas of dental practice, including therapeutic dentistry, oral surgery, orthopedic dentistry, orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, as well as geriatric and special needs dentistry. Modern dentistry also incorporates digital diagnostics, innovative biomaterials, minimally invasive approaches, and evidence-based clinical practice.
Dental education combines theoretical knowledge, simulation-based training, laboratory practice, and supervised clinical experience. It prepares graduates to provide patient-centered oral healthcare, apply evidence-based approaches in clinical decision-making, work effectively within healthcare teams, and engage in continuous professional development and research.
