Gelashvili Inga

Inga Gelashvili is an invited lecturer at Ilia State University. She teaches the course of “Academic Writing/Techniques” in Georgian and English languages on bachelor’s and master’s levels. She also is a team leader and teaches English language courses at the same university. Starting from 2012, Inga actively works with the National Curriculum department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. At different times, she worked as an Expert-monitor of the National Curriculum Implementation and Monitoring Program and English Language Expert for Implementation of the National Curriculum. Currently, Inga holds a position of an Expert for General Education Quality Assurance at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, where she works on development and implementation of national curriculum in Georgian schools. Additionally, Inga Gelashvili works as a trainer at different programs of PH International in Georgia and National Center for Teacher Professional Development. She is also a Marker/Tester and evaluation committee member at the National Assessment and Examination Center. Between 2016-2018 she was a marker of the international English language test – PTE General (Pearson Test of English). Inga Gelashvili is a member and trainer of the English Teachers’ Association of Georgia (ETAG). Previously, between 2014-2019 she was the head of the Kvemo Kartli branch of the same association. She is also a member of the English teachers’ international association – Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Inga has participated in various professional development programs internationally, such as European Modules for Trainer Training – Strengthening Education for Democracy in Franca and Portugal, Intensive Teacher Training Course in the UK, at the Edinburgh Language Academy, and Trainer Development Course in the US, at the World learning SIT Graduate Institute.
