The International University of Georgia (formerly Guram Tavartkiladze Tbilisi Educational University) implements targeted scientific research projects (hereinafter “targeted project”) to improve the scientific research process and encourage academic staff and students to participate in scientific research.

The targeted project does not include annual mandated scientific tasks set by the academic staff workload scheme, and it is carried out to increase the university’s scientific potential.

As a rule, the targeted project is financed based on a grant competition, from the budget of the educational university.
