On May 15, 2025, Georgian International University GIU entered into a tripartite memorandum with the Institute of Belt and Road Research of Shenzhen University and the Institute of the Belt and Road International Cooperation and Development of the city of Shenzhen. This agreement lays the foundation for a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing academic and research collaboration between Georgia and China.

The memorandum encompasses cooperation in the following key areas:
