Mr. David Aptsiauri, the affiliated professor of Georgian International University GIU and former Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the People’s Republic of China, was invited as a speaker to the international forum, titled “Astana Think Tank Forum”, held on October 15–16, 2025 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The forum was organized under the auspices of the President of Kazakhstan and hosted by the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies. It brought together leading scholars, experts, and practitioners from around the world. The event aimed to address contemporary global challenges such as economic resilience and security, governance issues, and ethical dilemmas stemming from technological progress.
On behalf of GIU, Professor Aptsiauri delivered a speech at one of the forum’s sessions titled “New geography of connectivity: infrastructure networks as catalysts of prosperity”. In his address, he discussed the importance of strategic partnership, infrastructure investments and the Middle Corridor issues in the global context.
