Students of the Georgian International University GIU won the ,,Studfest 2025” volunteer competition with their project ,,We Are Equal”.

As part of the project, GIU students carried out a social campaign titled ,,Change Starts With You”, aimed at raising awareness about people with special needs.

Within the framework of the project, a mobile application will be developed to help persons with disabilities living in Tbilisi find places of interest to them.

According to the decision of the festival jury, the project implemented by GIU students within the volunteer component received the highest evaluation and earned a well-deserved victory.

This year, more than 15 000 students participated in the festival, with over 400 winners recognized and awarded prizes and certificates.

Here they are – our winning students: Mari Lomaia, Ani Kvaratskhelia, Gvantsa Bekauri, Tamta Bolkvadze, and Tornike Kalagashvili.

The GIU students met with the university’s rector, Professor Eli Elisashvili, who congratulated them on their success and presented each student with an honorary award.

In the coming days, the winning students will travel to Portugal on a study visit. They will visit youth centers in Lisbon and Braga, learn about their activities, and share their own knowledge and experience with their Portuguese peers.

We congratulate each of them and wish them continued success in all their future endeavors.
