Reporter club

The “Reporter” Club is a student organization at Georgian International University (GIU), uniting students from the Journalism program. It serves as a creative space where young aspiring journalists develop their skills, gain hands-on experience, and actively engage with current media practices.

The club’s main goal is to support the development of essential journalistic competencies — from fact-checking and article writing to conducting interviews and preparing full-scale reports. Beyond theoretical knowledge, the club emphasizes practical involvement through simulated newsroom environments, editorial teamwork, and discussions around media ethics.

The “Reporter” Club plans to launch a university newspaper and online platform, as well as produce student-led podcasts, video/audio reports, and host meetings with professional journalists. These initiatives aim to connect students with real-world media and prepare them for the dynamic landscape of modern journalism.

This is a space where every student can become a creator of information, give voice to stories, and gradually build their own professional identity.
