Official Visit of Rector and Dean of School of Law of GIU to Bratislava University of Economics and Management - GIU

On May 17–23, 2026, Rector of Georgian International University GIU LLC, Professor Eliso Elisashvili, and Dean of the School of Law of GIU, Professor Tatia Dolidze, paid a working visit to Bratislava University of Economics and Management (Slovak Republic) in the frames of Erasmus+ academic mobility program.

During the visit, the representatives of GIU held several important and engaging meetings. They met with the Rector of the hosting university, Professor Ľuboš Čibák, and discussed the prospects for strengthening cooperation between the two higher educational institutions.

Meetings were also held with representatives of the university administration, including departments responsible for research, international relations, international student recruitment, and other areas. The main topics of discussion included the development of international academic cooperation, joint projects, mobility of students and academic staff, and future partnership initiatives.

Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Bratislava University of Economics and Management and GIU within the framework of the visit,. The memorandum was signed by the Rector of GIU, Professor Eliso Elisashvili, and the Rector of the Bratislava University of Economics and Management, Professor Ľuboš Čibák.

As part of the visit, GIU representatives also participated in a workshop on the topic: “Workshop – Burnout Prevention, Risk and Crisis Management in Higher Education and Economic Practice.” They also held meetings with academic and administrative staff from universities of Bulgaria, Armenia, and other countries.

The memorandum will further promote the deepening of the already successful cooperation between the two universities in the fields of education, research, and capacity building.
