The rector of Georgian International University, Ms. Eli Elisashvili was in People’s Republic of China at the invitation of the Chinese Association for International Relations (CAFIU) to attend the International Conference ,,The Fourth Dialogue on Exchanges and Mutual Learning among Civilizations”.
The opening ceremony of the conference was held in Tunchuang. Due to its geographical location, this city has historically been an important hub for the intersection of Western and Eastern civilizations, and is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The conference was opened by Vice President of People’s Republic of China, Mr. Han Cheng.
Ms. Eli Elisashvili participated in a panel discussion titled ,,Global Dialogue on the Heritage of Civilization and the Digital Silk Road” and also held meetings with the rectors of several Chinese universities and representatives of educational organizations.
