Ms. Mari Lomaia, a student of the BA academic program of Law of Georgian International University GIU, participated in the international youth exchange project “Olympics of Values: Building an Inclusive Europe”. The project was conducted in September, 2025, in Hondarribia, Basque Country, Spain. It was fully funded by the European Union and was aimed to promote common European values, raise awareness about social responsibility, and foster inclusion and diversity among young people across Europe.
During the exchange project, Ms. Mari Lomaia and other participants engaged in a variety of informal educational activities, including debates, creative presentations, group work, and artistic expression. These methods encouraged open dialogue on topics such as identity, active citizenship, health and wellness, and the importance of bridging intercultural, inter-generational, and social gaps. The exchange also provided an opportunity for youngsters to reflect on their role in building a more inclusive and united Europe.
Throughout her active engagement, Ms. Mari Lomaia developed key skills such as effective communication, creativity, autonomy, and initiative. She also collaborated with other participants on awareness campaigns and exchanged experiences about the realities in their home countries, making the event a meaningful step toward a more connected and collaborative European society.
