Team Formation — 2025
In 2025, Georgian International University officially established a table tennis team, bringing together students from different academic programs who are eager to engage in sports and develop precision, agility, and competitive spirit.
The team’s formation supports both internal student activities and GIU’s representation in national-level student tournaments.
Student Championship — April 2025
On April 22, 23, and 24, 2025, GIU hosted a Student Table Tennis Championship that brought together 24 student participants from across various educational programs.
The tournament followed an Olympic elimination format
Four winners were announced:
🥇 Tea Natmeladze — 1st Place
🥈 Ia Chkhaidze — 2nd Place
🥇 Ramin Siradze — 1st Place
🥈 Luka Khergiani — 2nd Place
The champions earned the right to represent GIU at the upcoming “StudFest 2025.”
They were also awarded scholarship vouchers valued at 100 and 200 GEL by the university administration.
The organization of the championship laid the groundwork for further structured development of table tennis at GIU.
The newly formed team continues training and preparing for future competitions.
