The main theme of the conference was “Resilient Minds, Innovative Pathways: Universities Leading Global Transformation.”
Within the framework of the event, the Rector of GIU held high-level meetings with leaders of universities from various countries. She signed MOU with the Rector of the host institution, Mykolas Romeris University, Inga Žalėnienė. GIU had previously cooperated with this university within the framework of the Erasmus+ Institutional Capacity Building project, and the new agreement will further expand the scope of collaboration.
Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the President of Seoul Cyber University, Lee Eun Joo (Republic of Korea). Under these agreements, GIU will collaborate with both universities in the areas of student exchange, academic mobility, joint educational programmes, and research projects.
The event also placed special emphasis on informal professional discussions and thematic sessions, where the Rector of GIU participated, including a dedicated meeting on women’s leadership.
The purpose of the Rector’s visit was to strengthen the university’s strategic objectives: to advance international academic integration, expand global cooperation, and enhance the positioning of Georgian International University in the international educational space.
