Two schools at Georgian International University: School of Business, Social Sciences & Humanities and School of Law and Politics. 

Since 2009, the Law School of Georgian International University has become one of the leading spaces of contemporary legal education, where academic tradition and the development of practical skills are fused into a single, integrated educational vision. The school delivers a Bachelor's program in Law, which offers the student, alongside deep theoretical knowledge of law, the practical experience essential for independent and responsible action in the professional arena. The Law School's educational conception is grounded in the belief that the modern lawyer is not merely someone who knows the rules, but a critically thinking professional oriented toward ethical values and possessed of social responsibility. It is precisely this vision that the learning environment serves, where each student, in parallel with acquiring knowledge, also works on forming their own professional identity.

One of the School’s principal assets is its academic personnel. Involved in the educational process are both leading theoreticians and scholars, as well as distinguished practicing lawyers — sitting judges, attorneys, notaries, and other experienced specialists in the field. This synthesis of knowledge and practice enables the student not only to study the legal rule at a theoretical level, but also to master the art of its application in real life.

The Law School has established close cooperation with numerous private and state organizations. This partner network gives students the opportunity to undertake internships and to have direct contact with the professional environment — the opportunity that transforms academic knowledge into a real working context. While still in the period of their studies, students become acquainted with the everyday challenges of the profession, develop a responsible attitude toward their work, and establish their first professional connections.

The Law School offers students a broad opportunity to gain international academic experience. Within the framework of GIU’s exchange programs, students can study at up to 40 partner universities in Europe and Asia — including Germany, Slovakia, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Hungary, Poland, and others. A semester of study abroad gives the student a unique means of becoming acquainted with different legal systems, broadening their academic horizons, and forming an international professional network.

GIU students have the opportunity, alongside English, to additionally learn one of today’s most in-demand languages — Chinese or Korean. In the contemporary global and professional environment, a command of these languages confers upon the graduate an additional competitive advantage and opens up new international opportunities.

Graduates of GIU’s Bachelor’s program in Law are successfully employed in high positions in both state agencies and the private sector.   • A moot courtroom — a space where students emulate a real court environment and develop their skills of public speaking, argumentation, and courtroom procedure.
  • A criminology laboratory — where students, through practical activities, master the methods of investigating offenses and analyzing evidence.
  • Beyond the academic program, at the extracurricular level, a Legal Clinic operates within the School — a particularly valuable practical platform for students. Within the Clinic, students work on real cases under the guidance of experienced lawyers, which gives them the unique opportunity to test their theoretical knowledge in practice, to experience professional responsibility, and to bring real benefit to society.
